Marilyn McKee

Marilyn Mc Kee, 69, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born on April 27, 1940 to Mary (Williams) and Challice Hedgecock.

She enjoyed collecting blue glass, being with her family, having picnics, Christmas, and babies. All that knew her knew her life was filled with giving of herself at any cost.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Wayne; children, Evelyn (Jim) Tappan, Norman (Cindy) Mc Kee, Tom (Kelly) Mc Kee and Brenda (Ron) Smith; thirteen grandchildren with one on the way; three great-grandchildren; twin sister, Carolyn (Robert) Ellis, sister Erma Sweet; brother, Jack (Phyllis) Hedgecock; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and three brothers.

Per Marilyn’s request, she will be cremated and memorial visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
