Karl is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Karlie Alexis; parents, John and Rosemary; brother, Atila; sister, Karolina; nieces and nephews; and so many beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael; and grandparents, Frank and Karolina.
The family would to like to thank the entire staff of Powell Three at Methodist Hospital. We would also like to thank Dr. Brad Hiatt and Dr. Shahid Habib; and nurses, Bridgett Riley and Diane Holcomb for their care, compassion, and honesty during his treatment.

Diane,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I can't tell you how much I wish I had known Karl was sick. He was a great man and he will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
I know this must be an incredibly difficult time for you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I understand you have a 3 year old daughter now. I am sure she is great! If I know "BDN" like I think I do you will land squarley on your feet. I know you are a great mother and you have years of enjoyment to look forward too.
You will remain in my daily thoughts and prayers.
Take care,
Russ

I have known Karl almost as long as I've known you--I have so many memories of you and Karl together.
One of my favorites was when he told me he had gone over the Christmas gift limit you two had set---He was grinning when he said that he had boughten your engagement ring. It was hard for me to keep that secret because I knew how happy it would make you.
My thoughts are with you and Karlie. He was a great husband and father and I will truly miss him.
Love,
Clarisa

Karl's was a part of our lives for the 13 years he worked with me (Connie) at Roto-Rooter. Kent loved coming in and talking to Karl about his trucks and Jeeps while he was waiting on me.
He was such a fun-loving person and a joy to work with. Roto-Rooter won't be the same without him.

First, I want to say how sorry I am for your loss. Karl will be missed.
I worked with Karl for almost 10 years at Roto-Rooter. During that time Karl & I worked together quite often. Karl would design a part & I would make it & give Karl feed back. I got to know Karl during that time & we would talk for hours about anything. Karl became a very good friend of mine & I will miss him!

May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead
I saw this saying and I totally thought of Karl!
"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
Thinking of you all.
