Connie Jo McCreary

Connie Jo McCreary, 68, passed away unexpectedly while visiting her sister in Texas on February 17. She was born on December 12th, 1941 in Ottumwa, Iowa and moved to Des Moines where she graduated from East High School.

Connie owned Budget Insurance for 27 years. She loved to travel, play slots at Prairie Meadows, and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Connie is survived by two children, Karen White-Cannon (Adam) and Michael McCreary (Dianne); grandchildren, Nikki White, Cory White, Connor Cannon, all of Des Moines; sister Mari Wilson of Des Moines; and brother Robert Monroe of Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Sara Monroe.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.
