Service Details
Susan K. Brumbaugh, 50, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Susan was born January 12, 1960 to Laurence and Betty Lou (Waggoner) Mayes in Des Moines.
Susan is survived by her husband, Charles Brumbaugh; children, Jennifer (Shaun) Taylor, Melissa Rodriguez, Stephanie Brumbaugh and Chuckie Brumbaugh; grandchildren, Faith, Jordan, Makayla, Madison, Jestin and Isabella; mother, Betty Mayes; siblings, Bill Kline, Cheryl (Larry) Blood, Emily (Ron) Gerke, Fred (Kris) Mayes, Laura (Rocky) Burrill and Laurence Mayes, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Laurence Mayes, Sr.

Im so sorry that you all lost your Mother and Grand Mother it is a very hard thing that you have to go threw She was so young I will always have her in my heart and always think about her Im going to miss her very much You all take care and I Love You Guys ...Aunt Laura and Uncle Rocky

We had the honor to meet Susan, this past Thanksgiving. We are Thankful that we shared conversation, laughter, and we will have memories of her that we will cherish. Reflecting back to our meeting Susan, we can honestly say that she was proud of her children. You are her foot prints in the sand. She will always be watching from Heaven's window, waiting at Heaven's Gate. Our prayers are for your family, for strength, unity, and peace of mind and soul. God Bless.
