John Terry Lemon

John Terry Lemon, 61, passed away February 15, 2010 at Genesis West in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday February 19, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Terry was born April 3, 1948 in Des Moines to John and Marjorie Lemon. He worked for Hillyer Dry Cleaners and most recently was a truck driver for Madden Trucking Co. in Boone. Terry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, antique shows, hunting, gardening and going to the races.

Terry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betsy; daughters, Karen (Brian) Kelso and Susan (Dwane) Peterson; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Erin, Emily, Bradley, Daniel, Chelsea and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Cailee and Jacob; mother, Marjorie Lemon; and his sister, Christine (Steve) Cummings. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael John Lemon; father, John William Lemon; and sister, Sharon Ann Seaholm.
