Service Details
Irene Thomason 85, was born April 30, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa. She went home to be with her Savior on February 12, 2010 at the Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Ron) Norlinger, Jeannette Richey, James (Maxine) Channon, Cindy (Don) Morris, Laurene (Arnie) Mills, Linda (Dan) Murphy; a brother, Robert (Norma) Bash; 21 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren
Irene was preceded in death by her husband’s George Channon and Wylie Thomason; a son, David Hinkley and a grandson, Tom Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with Pastor Jerold Morris from Sunshine Open Bible conducting the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.

I'm sorry I missed Irene's services. I delivered Meals On Heels to her. I think it pleased Irene that I would stop & pay attention to her cat (I can't remember the cat's name.). Irene would smile as I would stop to pet her cat & speak to it. Irene was always so nice to me when I would bring in her meals. I've been worried about Irene and just got the sad news today. My thoughts, prayers & sympathy are with Irene, her family & her cat.
