Donald “Donnie” Stifel, 42, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Taylor Hospice House.
Donnie was born August 1, 1967 in Des Moines, where he resided his entire life. He worked as a mechanic for 25 years.
He is survived by his parents, Gloria and David “Pops” Sickels; son, Nick Stifel; sister, Jeni (Steve) Ash; uncles (his brothers), Steve (Tina) and Jack (Cinda) Stifel; three nephews; several cousins that were very close to Donnie.
A celebration of Donnie’s life will be held at 1PM, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family in loving memory of Donnie.

My sincere condolences goes out to your family. I had the opportunity to work with Donnie several times. Donnie was a great person to work with, we had alot of fun while at work. Donnie will be missed.

Gloria, Dave, Nick, and Jeni,
You have no idea how much I am going to miss him every day. My greatest memories of my childhood were of him and Jimmy at the Lamb's home chasing me down the street and tickleing me till I could not stand it anymore. Please know that I loved him and love you all very much. I will be unable to attend the funeral, please know if you need me, I am here. I love you all.
