Norma Warren Kordick, 87, passed away at her home February 18, 2007. She has donated her body to Des Moines University and no services are planned at this time.
Norma was a 1937 graduate of Des Moines East High School and she was a 1948 graduate of Drake University earning her Masters Degree in Law. Norma was one of the first female Special Assistant to the Iowa Attorney General in 1953-54. During her private practice she worked with the late Joseph Coppola. She was a big supporter of women’s issues, an avid reader and big supporter of the North Side Public Library. Many people have quoted about her “You always knew you were in the presence of a Lady”.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George J. Kordick.
Norma is survived by her older sister, Helen Chaudoin of West Chicago, Ill; her younger sister, Martha May Powell of DeLand, Fla.; her nephew and four nieces.
