Lloyd V. Polson

Lloyd V. Polson, 90, passed away at his home in Pahrump, NV, January 9, 2010.

Mac was born May 25, 1919 in Council Bluffs Iowa to Charles and Blanch Polson. Mac lived in Des Moines for many years of his life and worked for Iowa Pack. At this time he married Ruth Merryfield. He then joined the Marines during WWII which took him to California, where he retired from Standard Oil Company and was wedded for a second time to Ruth Van Hoozer.

Lloyd was a Mason for 65 years, an avid Shriner for over 60 years and a member of the York Rite, Scottish Rite. During the 1980’s Lloyd moved to Pahrump, Nevada.

Mac is survived by his daughters, Nancy Polson of Altoona IA and Linda Stringer of Sun City CA; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Services were held in Nevada in mid January.
