Martin Amadeo
February 01, 2010
Martin Amadeo, 38, passed away unexpectedly at his brother's
home on February 1, 2010. He was born on May 8, 1971, to Frank R. and Patricia L. (Stumpf) Amadeo in Des Moines, Iowa.
He attended St. Anthony's Elementary school and graduated from
Dowling High School in 1989. He had held employment in the Information Technology departments at Principal Financial,
Kirke-Van Orsdel, Inc. and Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. He most recently had worked as a contract employee in the Information Technology department at Wells Fargo. He enjoyed playing darts, poker, and listening to the music of Pink Floyd. He was also a huge fan of World Wrestling Entertainment and World Wrestling Federation, as well as a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Steelers. He found peace
sitting on his deck watching the deer and horses in the nearby pasture. He had a compassionate heart; reaching out to children
and the elderly whether they be a stranger or friend. The gift of joy was brought to his life when he was with his sons at the swimming pool, Adventureland Park, or riding go-carts at Blue
Gills and White Water University.
Martin is survived by his sons Tyler and Andrew Amadeo; former spouse, Karen Pals; siblings, Mark (Mary) Amadeo, Rev. Michael Amadeo, Matt Amadeo, and Marilyn Amadeo; nieces and nephews;
his good friends, Mike Heiderscheidt and Mike Kinley; and many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by
his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road. Visitation will be held Monday, February 8, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Internment of
cremains will be held at a later date at Glendale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward the Amadeo family in loving memory of Martin.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We have many fond memories of Martin/John Perry/Terry/Jeremy playing in the neighborhood and taking the boys fishing off the bridge downtown. Martin was always a good natured person, and I remember his pride and joy when married and the kids arrived. God bless all of you.

Amo was a good friend and I will miss him. I send my deepest condolences to his family in Des Moines from my family in Arizona. I deeply regret that I will not be able to attend the services. There is a true void in my heart knowing that I will no longer get a big bear hug or sincear smile that ALWAYS said "Gabe it's damn good to see you man." Amo I'll see you on the dark side of the moon and I truly wish you were here! Peace and Love. God Bless you and your family, Gabe
