Margo Greenup was born to Joann Bekish and Chester Howard Greenup, Sr. on June 7, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was called home to the Lord January 29, 2010 at the age of 47.
Margo was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Joann; daughter, Lashawna; two sons, Courtney and Demarco; three grandchildren, Demarea, Demarco, Jr. and Alanna; four brothers and two sisters.
Margo’s life was her family. Growing up she took on the role of “mom” to her siblings while her parents were hard at work. Her family fondly recalls her never giving any bad advise! She loved spending time with her grandbabies and cooking. Margo touched so many lives during her time with us and will be missed by many. She will always be remembered as a great woman and a great mother.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

I love you all very much. I am so sorry for your loss. Margo was an outstanding, intelligent woman who has raised three smart, beautiful children. Your world may feel shattered right now, but the pieces will be put back together, one day at a time. Keep your heads up and always know that our home and hearts are open for you at anytime you may need anything.
