Marion R. Mishler, was born on May 16, 1916 in Des Moines, IA, to the late John Franklin Mishler and Irene McCarty Mishler. He departed this life in Malden, MO on February 14, 2007 at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 28 days.
He was a maintenance supervisor for the State of Iowa. He was a WWII POW Veteran. He was a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden, MO. He was a member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church in Malden, MO; a member of the RSVP in Malden and a member of the Masonic Four Mile Lodge #212 in Campbell, MO, and a member of Polk City Eastern Star.
He was united in marriage on September 19, 1936 in Jefferson, IA to May Jane Fister. She preceded him in death on October 12, 1989.
Survivors include: Daughter, Mary Jane Maynard and husband, Dale of Malden, MO; Son, Robert M. Mishler of Loma, CO; Sister-in-law, Margaret Mishler of Carol Stream, IL; Grandchildren, Marion D. Maynard of Cleveland, TN, Robert E. Maynard of New Haven, MO, Cynthia A. (Maynard) Pattarozzi of Cleveland, TN, Mary Kay (Maynard) Sherlin and husband, David of Bryant, AL, John Wm. (Mishler) Olson of Clinton, IA, Michelle R. Maske of Hickman, KY and Mary Lou Ann Maske of Hickman, KY; 15 Great-Grandchildren; Four Great-nieces, Rudy Stafford, Paula Spinler and Wanda Harlow of Des Moines, IA and Rhoda Berry of Jacksonville, FL; other relatives and a host of friends and masons.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Saylorville Baptist Church, 6429 NW 6 Dr. Saylorville Township. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
