Pauline Snider

Pauline Snider, 95, passed away on January 27, 2010 at Legacy Village Nursing Facility in Waukee. Pauline was born February 3, 1914 in Des Moines, to Arthur and Verna Renner. She graduated from North High School and Open Bible Institute. Pauline was a charter member of First Church of the Open Bible and attended regularly until her health failed. She also met Leon Snider there, and in 1935, they were married. They resided in rural Granger until 1989 when they moved to Urbandale.

She loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Her Lord, children and grandchildren were her priorities and she left a wonderful Christian legacy.

Pauline is survived by her son Richard of Urbandale, daughter Kathy Whisler of Clive; 4 grandchildren, Debra (Paul) Anderson of Phoenix, AZ, Julie (Ron) Tarallo of Springfield, MO, Mark (Nancy) Whisler of Oakton, VA and Greg Whisler of Arlington, VA; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years.

Funeral services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
