Virgil Harlan

Virgil Gaylord Harlan, 72, passed away January 23, 2010 at the Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown.

Virgil was born February 8, 1937. He served in the U.S. Marines. Virgil enjoyed volunteer work and going to the races in Knoxville. He loved his dog Jodi and had a love of the outdoors.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Cindy Harlan and Julie Jones; son, Scott Harlan; sisters, Dolores Bliss and Geraldine; brothers, Richard Mundy and Ed Harlan; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Leora Harlan.
