Cleota Jordan

Cleota LaVonne Jordan, 78, passed away at her home on January 19, 2010. A service will be held in June at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in Van Meter. Further information will be published when the time gets closer.

Cleota was born June 27, 1931 in Dunlap, IA., to Opal and William Taylor. On November 11, 1955 she married Ronald Jordan. Cleota worked as an administrative assistant at Broadlawns Medical Center and at WHO TV. She was a member of Jordan United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Cleota loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and was an email junkie.

Cleota is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children, Jean Anne Johnson (Rich), Rodney Jordan, and Rhonda Bloss (Chuck); Her daughter-in-law, Mindy Jordan; her sister, NaDean Taylor; her brother, James Taylor (Donna); her grandchildren, Tish Boothe, Tawnya Neighbour (Jeff), Fiona Watson, Travis and Nicholas Jordan; her great grandchildren, Taylar, Jaelyn and Brynlee Neighbour. Cleota was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Jack Taylor and Floyd and her sister, Willacine.
