Jack Avon, 72, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born January 30, 1937 in Lovilia, Iowa to Helen (Phillips) and George Avon.
He enjoyed playing bingo, golfing, and bowling. He was a member of the Odd Fellows in Indianola and served in the United States Marines.
Jack is survived by one son, Scott and three sisters, Janice, Judy, and Joan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris; brother, George; and sisters, Jerri and Julie.
