Roy Garrett

Roy L. Garrett, 83, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines. He was born September 7, 1926 in Des Moines, the son of Floyd and Elsie Garrett. Roy retired from Northwestern Bell in 1981.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred; son, Dan Garrett; daughter, Marcia Deer; granddaughter, Heather (Doug) DenAdel and their children, Reegan and Asher; grandson, Thomas Garrett; granddaughter, Angie (Jason) Rosenbalm and their son, Wyatt; granddaughter, Amber (Darren) Battershell and their son, Jake; brother, Larry (Gloria) Garrett; niece, Kim Garrett and nephew, Rodney Garrett.

Cremation has occurred and private family burial will take place at Rising Sun Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House in loving memory of Roy.
