Leah Marie O'Hara

Leah Marie O’Hara, 26, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010 in Federal Way, WA. Leah was born in Colorado Springs, CO and later moved with her family to Del Norte, CO where she graduated from high school. She later returned to Colorado Springs where she met Michael. They were married on May 15, 2005 and were then blessed with their son Kaleb on February 3, 2006. The family moved to Federal Way, WA where Leah was a stay at home mom. She loved to spend time with Kaleb, and especially enjoyed playing in the park with him. Leah also enjoyed the beautiful scenery on trail walks, movies, music, scrap booking and traveling with her family. In addition, she was a huge sports fan. She loved watching football and basketball and participating in fantasy football. She twice won the fantasy league – against a “bunch of guys”; she played the football pools like it was a career, winning about half of the time against twenty other people. Leah was also an avid runner, stemming from her high school track days. Her favorite quote was “take lemons and make lemonade”.

Leah is survived by her husband Michael; son Kaleb; parents-in-law, Michael and Isa O’Hara and Cathy Rohner; brothers, Sam (Tammy), Josh (Kim), Mike (Catherine) and Marc(Kim) Griffiths; sister-in-law, Scarlett (Greg) Sigrest; brothers-in-law, Christian and Ryan O’Hara; nieces and nephews, Stephen, Ryan, Emma, Jeremy, Andrew, Sophia and Isabella Griffiths, Blake and Callie Sigrest. Leah was preceded in death by her mother Angelina Marie Latino.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at New Hope Assembly of God Church at 6800 Townsend Ave in Urbandale.
