Ida Felice

Ida O. Felice passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Kavanagh House on 56th street surrounded by her loving family.

The Mass of Celebration will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. from Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 12th from 6 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary at Hamilton’s Southtown.

Ida was born in Des Moines on May 6, 1909 to Ferdinand and Mary Palandri. She married Richard Felice on October 14, 1928 and together they owned and operated Richard’s Hardware for many years.

Ida graduated from Lincoln High School and was a lifetime member of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church. Ida was a hard worker and devoted to her family. Her life was one filled with love and faith.

Ida is survived by her daughter, Joan Stanley; sons, Richard (Elaine) Felice and Robert (Debby) Felice all of Des Moines, and daughter, Sharon ( Bruce) Hagen of Dallas, Texas, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents and two sisters, Arduina Palmer and Enes Wever.

The family would like to thank Susan and Janet Kingkade as well as everyone at Kavanagh House for their loving care of Ida.
