Patricia Bean

Patricia “Pat” L. Bean, 71, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007. She was born October 7, 1935 to Francis and Ellen Grady. Pat was the second of six children, three sisters and two brothers. She attended Grandview Park Baptist Church where she was a member since childhood. During the 1950’s and 1960’s Pat was a professional singer recording the hits “Sure Thing” and “Long Ago”. She had a true passion for music and entertaining.
Pat is survived by her son, Kevin, and his wife, Lyn Bean; grandchildren, Shawn and Ashley Bean; great-grandson, Gage; siblings, Karen Carico, Larry Grady, Robert Willson, and Cheryl Twiss; and a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Loretta Nixon.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Pat was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
