Dennis Grass, aka Dennis Wright, 60, died on Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Taylor House after a long battle with the lung disease COPD. Denny was born June 26, 1949 to Frosty and Evelyn Wright. He was raised in the SE bottoms of Des Moines. Denny attended East High School and retired from Ryko Mfg. after 25 years of service.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Forest “Frosty” Wright; mother, Evelyn Wright and brother, Mike Wright. He is survived by his one true love Mary, his wife; daughters, Kim (Ron) Smith and Melissa Wright; grandchildren, Becky, Joey, Josh and Alisha; great-grandchildren, William, Ethan and Joe-Joe; siblings, Tom Wright, Billy Joe Wright, Floyd Wright and Laura Sharpnack, all of Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylor House in loving memory of Dennis.

To Dennys family my sorrow to learn of his passing. I only knew him a short time but he has always been in my thoughts. Him being a gentle soul am sure he is in peace and free of his vessels ailments. God bless you all

Dear Mary,
