I met Dana when she lived on my dorm floor at UNI. I was always amazed at her energy and passion for life. She was very outgoing, always wanting to learn about everyone on the floor. I will always remember how we sometimes went to work out at the East Gym on Saturday mornings--Dana always made it even though she'd usually been out late the night before! She never wanted to miss anything that was going on; maybe that was because she had to pack so much in a life that was too short.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I met Dana through her good friend and mine, Emily (Winecoff) Callaghan. We were all students at UNI at the same time and I remember hanging out/talking with her many times. We continued to cross paths every now and again after college while living in the Des Moines area. As when I first met her, she always greeted me with a warm infectious smile and it was always fun to pick up where we left off the last time we saw each other. She was such a warm sweetheart with a wonderful spirit that will live on forever.
Thinking and praying for you through this difficult time...

Jason,
I am so sorry to hear of Dana's passing - shocked too. I just can't believe it. You and Abigail and the rest of your families are in my thoughts and constant prayers. I pray God's comfort for you in the times to come. Days will be difficult, but know people are lifting you up in prayer.
I have such fond memories of PS-MAPP class. We all had so much fun and really got to know you and Dana. What a blessing to know others with the same strong desire for children that we had - and your dream came true when you and Dana were so blessed with Abby. I believe Dana would say her life was complete having had the honor of being a wife and mommy. Only God knows why He took her so young - again, you're in our prayers.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and Abby.

Dear Jason, I want to share a wonderful memory of Dana with you. This last fall probably late September I was at the Zoo. I saw Dana and Abby by the petting area. Stopped to talk but Abby took off running and Dana was right behind her laughing! I don't know who was having more fun,Abby or Dana. That vision will be forever in my mind and that is how I will remember such a beautiful young women, daughter, mother and wife. God bless you all,Julie Young

We are so very sad to hear of Abby's mommy's passing. Evelyn is one of Abby's classmates in the Duck's class. Although I recognize Dana from her photograph, I never had the chance to get to know her. Evelyn and I will keep all of you in our prayers. Please accept our deepest sympathies. God be with all of you.

Dana,
Thank you for being a part of something really big. You helped to make great summer memories for many children that will last their entire life. The Foster Flame burns bright in you, and the people you have met can see it and feel its warmth. Keep shining on, and remember that we'll "See you later".
