Andrew Ross

Andrew “Buster” Ross, 90, passed away December 23, 2009 at the Altoona Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Andrew was born December 31, 1918 in Alberta, Canada to William and Bertha Ross. He graduated from East High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Andrew worked for Armstrong Tire and served as union president.

Andrew is survived by his niece, Barbara Detrick and many other loving extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Witzenberg and his brother, Robert Ross.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
