Laura Hammond

Laura Leigh Hammond, 46, was born March 9, 1963 in Des Moines, the daughter of Carol and Harlan Peacher. She passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Laura is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Bruce Hammond; sons, Anthony Peacher and Billy Hammond; granddaughters, Hailey and Lillith; mother, Carol (Oliver) Cavanaugh; siblings, Rick, John, Daura and Tamara; many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her father and her brothers, Hal and Rodney.

The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Cremation will follow the funeral and inurnment will take place at a later date.
