Dee Ann, 57, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009, at home. She was born on October 27, 1952 to Donald and Deloris Townsley in Nevada, Iowa.
She enjoyed spending time with her grand children, sewing, having parties, listening to holiday music, cooking and baking, her friends raved about her wonderful potato salad.
Dee Ann is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Kenneth Israel; daughters, Dori (Paul) Israel-Tamariz and Katherine (Tim) Pote; her 12 grandchildren, Jasmine Pote, Andrew Lewis, Ashlee Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Kascee Lewis, Lili Israel, Lucia Israel, Mateo Israel, Ana Katrina Tamariz, Torrie Marchant, Selena Tamariz and Faith Katherine Pote; her father, Donald G. Townsley; and her siblings, Shirley (Ron) Holmes, Julie (Ron) Townsley and Donald W. (Kari) Townsley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Townsley and her mother, Deloris Townsley.
Funeral Services will be held 10 am Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Dee Ann.

to the dear family of deanne.............i am sorry you have lost her, what a beautiful picture of her. the last time i saw deanne i was goign into baskin robins one summerEARS AGO.... Ken, I was deeply saddened to hear of Dee Ann's passing. She was a delightful person and always had that great smile everytime I would see her. I know words cannot express the grief you and the girls are experiencing now, but I want you to know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Dee Ann will truly be missed. Please know I am thinking of you all.

Ken & Kathy & Dori and the kids,
Your mother was the greatest Grandmother to all of your children, I am very sorry for your loss. I remember seeing her face light up when she talked about my enchiladas. That always made me feel good that she enjoyed them that much! I remember all of the practices that she took the children to, she was always on the run, and you could tell she loved every minute of it spending time with the grandkids. You are all in my prayers, and she is resting in heaven looking down on all of you guys!! Its comforting to know that if she cant be here on earth with you, its best that you have an angel looking out for you and your family. God be with you all!
