Robert Ramsey

Robert Bernard Ramsey, 58, passed away on December 17, 2009, at the Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on June 13, 1951, to Marie and Bernard Ramsey in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, a Journeyman Carpenter, and a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union #106. He loved boating, woodworking, and spending time with his granddaughters and family.

Bob is survived by his loving wife; Ruth Ramsey, daughters; Ruthie (Aaron) Borg, Mary (Nathan) Jones, mother; Marie King Ramsey, granddaughters; Megan and Sadie Borg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Ramsey.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2009 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 S.W. 9th. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Columbus, OH.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Taylor House, 3401 E. Douglas Ave., in loving memory of Bob.
