Christopher Stumme

Christopher Stumme, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at his home in Altoona. He was born on May 27, 1992 in San Jose, CA to Lane and Maggie Stumme.
Chris attended Southeast Polk High School and was involved in speech and drama. He loved camping and spending time in Alaska where he lived from 1997-2005.
Chris is survived by his parents, Lane and Maggie Stumme; his sisters, Adaira (Hugh) McCrummen, Emily, Katherine, and Natalie; his brother, Nicholas; neice, Gwendolyn; grandparents, Howard and Madonna Stumme and David and Penny Willis; aunts, uncles and many other loving family.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 914 NW Ash Drive, Ankeny. A visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Chris. A memorial fund has been established through Habitat for Humanity, 2341 2nd Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50313, www.dmhabitatrestore.org.

We are so sorry for your loss. I know Travis was so worried about Katie and all he wants to do is be there for her as much as possible. We are here for her also and your family. If you need anything at all please let us know. I am home during the day so if you need any help with the kids or if katie would like company or to come over she is always welcome. I know I havent had the privelage of meeting you yet but my thoughts are with you all.

I can't believe this happened again. Especially to Chris. He was very quiet, but he seemed nice enough. It's going to be strange going to class tomorrow with him gone, it's going to be really sad. I wish his family the best and I hope this doesn't happen again.
