Ruth Forret, 95, passed away December 11, 2009 at Valley View Village.
Ruth was born in Iowa on December 3, 1914. She was a Des Moines resident and worked at Younkers for 38 years. Ruth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the 20 Year Club of Younkers. She enjoyed fishing and playing games. Ruth loved being with her family and friends. She was a wise and Godly woman who got along with everyone.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Janice (Donald) Doudna; sister, Eloise Wood; four grandchildren, Katherine (James) Nedved, Amanda (Brian) DuBose, Ben (Megan) Doudna and Andrew Doudna and eight great-grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, David, Abigail, Nora, Vinny, Bethany and Peter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1977.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial to follow at Booneville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Village.

Hugs from Rochester! Can't be there with you today, but you are in our thoughts and prayers! When I think of Ruth and Albert, I have nothing but affection in my heart. It had been a long time since I had last Ruth, but my memory of her is vivid. She was such a loving and caring person - loved to visit- adored her family! Albert's been patiently waiting for his bride - and now they are together once again....love has come full circle. Take a deep breath and feel the comfort that they feel. Take care and God Bless!
