Clarence Shannon

Clarence James Shannon was born in Barnes City, Iowa on April 13, 1938 to Lee and Rose Shannon. For most of his life Clarence specialized in maintenance within the property and health care industry. Many things were important to Clarence including a strong faith in God, a commitment to his family and a devotion to his wife of 48 years, Bernice.

Clarence had many hobbies including a love of hot rods, camping and football. He was a great story teller and always had a good joke, but most importantly he taught us how to laugh at ourselves. Clarence was a wonderful husband, dad and grandfather.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Bernice Shannon; sister Virginia Shore; brother-in-law DuWayne Pillard; sons Lee (Corazon), Kevin (Brenda), Ron (Ginny); daughter Brenda (Romeo) Aguillon; grandchildren, R J Shannon, Kendra Shannon, Alex and Kaleb Shannon and Mercy and Natalie Aguillon as well as nieces Heather and Sarah from Colorado. Funeral services will be at 11:30 Friday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with burial following at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
