Dorothy Bauer

Dorothy May Bauer, born in Columbia, MO on May 13, 1926, went to be with her Lord on December 4, 2009.

Dorothy was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Tony” Bauer, her son Larry and a granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Patricia) Bauer, Bill (Sue) Bauer, Bruce (Isabelle) Bauer, Roger (Jenny) Bauer and Kimberley (Raymond) Springer; stepdaughters, Mary Frances Grimm and Venida Warren; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her loyal dog Penny.

Dorothy showed dollhouses at the fair for 23 years and won many ribbons. She enjoyed working at the voter polls at Howe Elementary and was a creative and talented craftswoman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
