Paul Chopard

Paul Chopard passed away December 3, 2009, at Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Family will greet friends from 5-6 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street in Des Moines. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Paul was born April 19, 1920, in Bear Creek, Iowa, to Emile and Helen Chopard. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and World War II.

Paul is survived by his sister, Irene Livingston of North Carolina, and brothers, Leslie Chopard of Seattle, Washington, and Harry Chopard of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 50 years, Mary June.
