Willis H. Collins

Willis H. Collins, 80, passed away December 3, 2009, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Willis was born August 30, 1929, in Aumsville, Oregon to Paul and Ida Collins. He retired from Chicago Northwestern Railway in 1985 after 30 years of service. Willis loved fishing, bowling and puzzles.

Willis is survived by his children, Albert Espey, Ruth Wessel, Janet (Don) Price, Janice (Rick) Klitzke, Ralph Espey and Susan Antomori; brother, James Collins; sister, Leila Bates; 13 grandchildren, Bobbie Jo, Chuck, Darlo, David, Jerry John, Mary, Nicole, Ricky, Robert, Scott, Steve, Tina and Travis and 27 great-grandchildren, Anna Louise, Anthony, Austin, Autumn, Cecilia, Chase, Dalton, Dillon, Dante, Emilie, Emily, Gage, Joseph, Kaitlyn, Kassy, Melody, McKinley, Michaela, Natalie, Russell, Samantha, Samara, Somer, Tana, Taylor, Troy and Xander. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Collins, and sisters, Shirley Nichols and Patty Greenwalt.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12 p.m. Monday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ruthven, Iowa.
