Earl R. Agan, Sr.

Earl R. Agan Sr., 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 2, 2009 of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Earl was born February 25, 1933 in Chariton, Iowa, the son of Shelby and Pearl Agan. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Earl was a Cement Finisher and a member of the Cement Masons Local 21 for 59 years.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Myrna Agan; children, Earl Jr. (Paula), Tom (Sandi) and Barbara (Rob) Timmins; grandchildren, Shelby, Shane, Shauna, Travis, Hunter, Brett and Jordan; great-grandsons, Kyler and Boston; siblings, JoAnn Lamberson, Martha Miller, Michael Agan and Pam Elwood; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jacquetta Martinache, Edith Guillon, Laurel, Jim, Chuck, Allan, Fred and Larry Agan.
The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at the funeral home.

My deepest sympathy at the loss of your husband, dad, father-in-law, and grandpa. When Dad passed in May I learned that there are not specific words that mean anything, but I hope you can find comfort just knowing that people are thinking of you, loving you, and praying for you.
