Buffy Lucas, 34 died November 30, 2009 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Buffy was born November 26, 1975 in Iowa Falls, IA to LeeLannee and Larry Stine. She attended Estherville Lincoln Central High School where she was a member of the FFA. After; she attended Iowa Lakes Community College and obtained her nursing license.
She worked as a registered nurse. Buffy enjoyed reading, watching the food channel, then cooking the dish she had learned about. She had a love for animals and loved Christmas time. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always went out of her way to help people.
Buffy is survived by her children; Marc and Tayler Lucas; parents, LeeLannee and Larry Stine; brothers, Matthew (Tammy) and Robert (Christy) Stine; ex-husband and friend; Don Lucas; grandmother, Doris Stine an many other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, David Stine, Anthony and Helene Thilges
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2PM at Grandview Lutheran Church, E 13th and Hull Ave, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward the family in loving memory of Buffy.

Larry, Lannie, Don, Marc, Tayler and family,
I am so sad that I can't be there with you today please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers today and in the day to come. I miss her so much already. Marc and Tayler and Don I will be there to support you whatever you need just as I know Buffy would have done the same to me. My life is truly changed because of having had Buffy for a friend and there will always be a special place in my heart just for her.

We were sorry to hear of the loss of your mother Marc. Our hearts go out to you, and your entire family. I have great memories with Buffy: especially at school and the skating rink.
She was always there for her friends. She would bend over backwards to be there for you. Buffy had a big heart for people. I will always remember her laugh and her smile.
May God be with you the family and other friends as you deal with her loss. May God wrap His mighty arms around in the form of other friends and family during this time. May He give you the peace and strength. God bless you!!
I was blessed to have Buffy in my life while I did!

I'm so sorry for you loss. I never knew Buffy but I do believe from what I've read that she was a very loving mother, daughter and friend. May you all find a way to make it thru this very hard time.
