Pauline F. Patrick

Mrs. Pauline F. Patrick, age 93, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Pauline was born February 15, 1930, in Hochel, Oklahoma to Robert Preston Cullom and Doshia (Sumner) Cullom. She graduated from Parson High School in Kansas. During her working years, she was a surgical assistant in the health care field. Pauline enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and cooking. She had a huge, loving heart, and that heart extended to pets – she loved all animals. Pauline always enjoyed having family get-togethers and cocktail parties. She loved fashion, was always dressed to the nines, and had the nickname, Goldy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Veronica Patrick, Paulette Rose Patrick-Freeman (Amos), Calvin Patrick, Jr., and Marilyn Patrick; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Regina Smith.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Patrick; parents, Robert and Doshia Cullom; children, Patricia Patrick and Bronell Patrick; and her sisters, Gladys Owsley and Martha Sayers.

Service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery after the funeral. There will be a reception at the funeral home following the burial.
