Linda was born on April 13, 1947 to Mildred (Cash) and Marion Moffitt in West Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Valley High School in 1965 and married Thomas William Fisher on November 23, 1968. The couple were long-time southside residents and members of St. Anthony’s Parish until moving to Clive in 2013. Linda worked for Principal Financial Group as a Medical Underwriter for 42 years until her retirement in 2007.

Linda loved spending time with her family especially her three granddaughters. She was their primary babysitter when they were younger and later was always on the sidelines cheering them on at their sporting events and encouraging those homeruns. Grandma was notorious for spoiling them and delighted in making their Halloween costumes and supplying abundant gifts for Christmas. Her favorite games to play with the kids were “I Spy” in the car, and creating marching bands around the house with various instruments. Linda was a much loved and fun Grandma to her precious bunch.

In addition, Linda was a talented quilter, baker and crafter. She made baby quilts for family members, friends and fundraisers, and was known for her delicious sugar cookies. Linda was quick to volunteer and was active in her church, and always willing to help where needed. She had a passion for reading, loved outings to a casino, and of course shopping. Most recently she was a devoted Amazon fan when her health wouldn’t allow her to walk the malls or her favorite browsing spot, Target.

This dear lady is greatly missed by her husband, Thomas Fisher; daughter, Kori (Ben) Nagel; her three grandchildren, Claire, Grace, and Madison Nagel; sister-in-law, Donna (Ted) Bell; niece, Suzanne (John) Daley; nephew, Mark Bell; great-nieces, Hannah Daley, Megan Bell; great-nephew, Mark Bell, Jr; and her Yorkie, Riley.

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents; and sister; Marian Moffitt.
