Donna M. Ensley

Donna May Ensley, 89, passed away August 7, 2023 at Madrid Home in Madrid, Iowa. She was born April 21, 1934 in Polk City, Iowa to her parents Virgil and Hazel Ware.

Donna is survived by her children, Alan Ensley and Paula Ensley; granddaughter, Stephanie (Ben) Lake; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Dakota Lake; many nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Alfred Ensley; parents, Virgil and Hazel Ware; and sister, Mildred Swain.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held an hour prior also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or Shriners Children’s Hospital in loving memory of Donna Ensley.
