Randall Lee “Randy” Rich, age 78, died July 29, 2023, surrounded by his family at EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Randy was born on October 21, 1944, to Max and Fern Rich in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Linda (Moberg) Rich on February 25, 1966. Randy worked in the auto industry for 40 years before retiring. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, birds, and gardening. He liked traveling to Colorado and visiting national parks, Yellowstone being his favorite. Randy enjoyed fast cars, watching sports, and was an avid Yankee fan. He coached kids’ leagues in his younger years. Randy never knew a stranger and loved his family above all else.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; daughter, Jennifer; son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Cristen; siblings, Dana, Dennis (Sandy), Karen, Kathy (Jim), and Julie; and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Fern; and two brothers.
