Deborah Finney

Deborah Lynn Finney, 64, passed away on July 27, 2023, in Des Moines. She was born in Des Moines on January 3, 1959 to Verne and Diana (Morrison) Finney.

Deb was a beautifully dedicated single mother who loved her family and grandchildren very much. She could lite up an entire room with her presence and kind generosity. Deb had a love for animals, enjoyed sewing and listening to music. She was a hard worker. Deb was loved by all that knew her. Her presence here on earth will be forever missed, but she is now in the loving arms of Jesus and we are at peace knowing she will be at the Gates of Heaven to meet us.

Deb is survived by her children, Misty Finney and Jeremiah Finney; grandchildren, Jessi Finney, Phoenix Singletary and Sydney Singletary; great grandchildren Nova Rose Singletary and Zeda Jo Finney; siblings, Becky (Carl) Dick and Vicky (Jon) Rink; half-sister, Melissa McGuire, along with many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verne and Diana Finney, brother, Randy Finney and nephew, Daniel Graber.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. The family will great friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to services. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
