I remember "Rusty" as we called him back in high school for his positive outlook and self-deprecating sense of humor. He could take a bad situation and the next minute make a joke and have everyone in stitches laughing. He was humble to a fault and extremely reluctant to accept praise and compliments for his exceptional musical abilities. And too good of a guy to be taken so soon. I'm grateful to have known Russ and offer my sincere condolences to the family.

Russ was a GREAT guy! Though it has been years since we laid eyes on each other, we could at least keep tabs thru FB.
One thing about Russ I will never forget is his smile and how I was always uplifted in his presence. He just had a way of making me me feel good.
To Shelby, David, family and friends my deepest sympathies. I am thankful God had my path cross with Russ oh so many years ago. Russ will always be one I remember with a big smile for the good times.
