Ruth Peters entered into heaven on Tuesday July 25, 2023. She was born August 26, 1933 in Wichita, Kansas to William E. and Lila (Black) Adams. Ruth married John G. Peters Sr. on March 12, 1950 in Fayetteville Arkansas. He preceded her in death.
Ruth retired from Mercy Hospital in 1998 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, John, and spending time with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her children, Larry (Jennifer) of Pleasant Hill, John Jr. (Tracey) of Des Moines, Lynette (Craig) Gerdes of Fort Madison and Janet Alexander (Mitch) A of Norwoodville; sisters, Kay Ruckells of Muscatine, IA and Evelyn Crisp of Murphy North Carolina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, John; parents; daughter, Linda; great-grandson, Jarod Peters; grandson, C.J Peters; and nephew, Mike Geiger.

Loved Ruth and John. They were are next door neighbors. We had so much fun going out to eat and spending many hours outside on the patio. Thankful to know Ruth and John.

I was the Medical Director of Mercy Emergency Department for many years. I had the pleasure of having Ruth work with me as both as receptionist and as my secretary. She was truly a lovely lady. I valued her greatly as a person. I think I could truly call her my friend.
