Audrey Arline Buchman Cooper, 89, passed away July 18, 2023 at Glen Oaks Alzheimer’s Care Center.
She was born January 10, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents Claude and Bernice (Birdsal) Albaugh. Audrey enjoyed her family, friends, neighbors, and Maggie her dog.
Audrey is survived by her four sons, David (Tana) Buchman, Dennis (April) Buchman, Douglas (Lillian) Buchman, and Daniel (Robin) Buchman; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Bernice Albaugh; two husbands, Eugene Buchman and Bill Cooper; two brothers, Willis Albaugh and Bob Albaugh; and sister, Nadine Hall.
Family will greet friends 12:00 to 2:00 p.m Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Avenue Des Moines, Iowa. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 1 NE 60th Avenue Des Moines, Iowa.
Memorial contributions can be directed Grace Baptist Church for Connection Café Luncheons for the homeless in loving memory of Audrey Cooper.

We enjoyed knowing Audrey and Maggie through our animal clinic for many years. Both were wonderful. And through Audrey I met her daughter-in-law, Tana who has become a good friend too. A triple blessing! Our sympathy to all of those who loved and will miss Audrey.

Audrey was the Sweetest , Kindest., Neighbor anyone could ever have! Audrey and Maggie were a Joy to run into when I was walking my dog! We have an Angel watching over us on Miller Avenue Now💗
