Margaret Gray

Margaret E. Gray, 96, passed away on July 1, 2023, at Azria Health in Winterset, Iowa. She was born in Des Moines on February 2, 1927 to Joseph and Margaret (Dalton) Epps.

Margaret was a homemaker and wonderful seamstress. She loved thrift store shopping and square dancing. She was a former member of Park Ave Christian Church in Des Moines. While Margaret was working for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, she met her first husband, William Jones.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Norva Gray; children, Pamela (Dean) Grant and Mark (Laurie Meyer) Jones; grandchildren, Bradley Grant and Amy (B.J.) Mumm; great grandchildren, Austin and Clay Mumm. Along with a host of beloved friends and extended relatives.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Jones; siblings, Violet Seery, Betty Burres, Joe Epps, Delores Freeman and Bob Epps.

Graveside services will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 12:00 p.m., at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Unity Point Hospice in loving memory of Margaret.
