Service Details

It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Linda Stritz of Van Meter, IA on June 29th, 2023. Linda passed away peacefully, and her entire family was able to be with her at the time of her passing.

Linda was born on March 23rd, 1949, in Chicago, IL to Margie and Clennie McDaniel. She always loved where she came from, especially living down the street from Wrigley Field. Linda was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and graduated from Lake View High School in 1967. During her time at Holy Trinity, she met several wonderful friends and among them the love of her life, Leroy Stritz. In 1974, they moved to Van Meter, IA where they spent the rest of their lives raising six children and enjoying the company of nine grandchildren.

Our mother, Linda, was one of the kindest and gentlest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. We will miss her very much. We already do. She leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.
