Kevin Lee Hamilton

Kevin Lee Hamilton, 67, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. He was born December 19, 1955 to Theresa Marie (Williamson) and James J Hamilton Jr. in Des Moines, Iowa.

Kevin graduated Dowling Catholic High School 1974 and was a member of All Saints Parish. He was known for his stubborn independence and for his sarcasm and wit. He always had a joke or a story to share. His interest in protecting others led to his work as a security guard.

He married the love of his life in August 2010, Cheryl Marie Miller. The two of them shared their home with numerous fur babies and shared an interest in marksmanship and self-defense training.

Kevin is survived by his brother, Stanley (Mary) Hamilton, Omaha, NE; his sister Cheryl Hamilton (Rich Menadue), Altoona, IA; his sister Becky (Joe) Eldredge, Altoona, IA and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Marie (Miller) Hamilton, his brother John Robert Hamilton, both of his parents and his grandparents.
