Butch was born May 5, 1939 in Des Moines to Woody and Mac Scrowther. He was a lifelong Southsider. Butch retired at age 59 from AGI where he had been a truck driver for many years under the call name of “Mud Duck”. He was a proud member of the teamster’s family. Butch went to the Sprint Car races every Saturday in Knoxville. If he couldn’t make it, he would watch it online. Butch was notorious for his love of dogs. He was known to cancel plans for his dogs. Butch loved to go to Vegas with friends, but even stopped his Vegas ventures to be with his dogs. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Butch lived life on his own terms. He will be remembered for being the guy that was always there to help everyone out.

Butch is survived by his daughter, Dana Scrowther; daughter-in-law, Debbie Scrowther; sisters, Joyce Scrowther and Judy (Larry) Housman; grandchildren, Tamra Summy, Jared (Sophia) Scrowther and Olivia (Jacob) Casey; two great-grandchildren; special friend, Cindy Romine; and many nieces and nephews.
