Cleo "Fern" Treanor

Cleo “Fern” Treanor, 79, passed away at her home on June 22, 2023.

Fern was born on July 3, 1943 in Carlisle, Iowa to Virgil and Emma (Hubbs) Simpson. She was an East High School graduate. Fern married Paul Treanor in 1961. Through the years she provided care for many children in her home that became an extension of her family. Fern enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s activities. She loved sports and was an avid Cardinals fan.

Fern is survived by her son, Marv (Oscar Solis) Treanor; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Pritchard; brothers, Richard Simpson, Bill Simpson and Paul Hulbert; grandchildren, Stephen (Misty) Treanor, Brian Treanor, Brittany Pritchard and Lyndsey (Adam) Alberts; and her great-grandchildren, Audrey, Jaxon, Carder, Adalyn, Hayden and Landon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and sister Lois Houghton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
