William “Mitchell” Howard, 22, passed away November 26, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Mitchell was born March 19, 1987, in Des Moines. He worked as a chef and dreamed of having his own restaurant. Mitchell had a big heart and loved everyone.

Mitchell is survived by his mother, Lori Howard; father, Rick Howard; brothers, Troy (Kerri Jo) Howard, Brandon Howard and Bryon Howard; sister, Holly Howard; the old man, Craig Phelps; nephews, Kayleb and Marshall Howard; grandmother, Gloria Miller; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bonnie and Bill Howard and Don Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 4 pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. A private family burial at Hopkins Grove Cemetery near Polk City will be held at a later date.
