Scott Allen Herring

Scott A. Herring was born on July 30, 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida and died June 16, 2023. Scott grew up on Navy bases all over the Southern United States including Texas, Florida and South Carolina while his dad Larry Herring served our country. Following Larry’s honorable discharge, the family moved to De Soto, Iowa where Scott attended Adel Desoto Middle and High School and then served in the National Guard.

Scott later moved to Cedar Rapids where he had numerous friends and extended family that he loved very much.

Scott was proceeded in death by his parents, Sandra Sue Herring and Larry Herring. He is survived by his partner in life, Connie Miller; his brother, Ronald Herring; grandmother, Wilma Olson; his aunt, Margaret Meyer; and numerous cousins and extended family.

No services are planned at this time, but we encourage everyone who loved Scott to get together with their loved ones and celebrate Scott’s life. Scott was a caring and loving person. You could see it in his smile and hear it in his laugh. We take comfort in knowing that he is reunited in Heaven with his beloved Mother Sandy.
