Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor. My most admired teacher in art and life in general. Always available to listen, and give such thoughtful advice and feedback. I am privileged to have known him.

My heartfelt condolences to "Aunt" Bev, Brian, Brent, and the rest of the family. "Uncle" Doug was a real pattern for me of a lover of the Lord Jesus who loved and cared for people to the extent that he could minister the Lord to them. It seems his heart mirrored the Father's loving and receiving heart as portrayed in Luke 15 - running to the repentant prodigal, throwing his arms around him, kissing him, calling for him to be clothed with Christ as righteousness and filled inwardly to satisfaction with the sacrificed Christ.
I still treasure the memories of many interactions with Uncle Doug 40+ years ago.

Dougs love for family and ministry in regards to the family has been a real blessing to us. I would encourage all family members to read especially the ministry regarding Nehemiah for I know it would be a help to anyone who has a family. It definitely would be worth your time and effort to get a hold of a copy of this ministry. We are thankful to the Lord for Dougs faithfulness to God and his love for the saints. We pray for all the family that the comfort of Christ may comfort them in their grief. Frank and Ruth Harder
